2 Days Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater Safari from Zanzibar is an amazing short Tanzania safari tour that takes you to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater Tanzania famous for the African big 5 and the beautiful Ngorongoro crater which is the largest inactive caldera in the world. You shall also get to visit Lake Manyara National Park famous for the tree climbing lions, as well as large flocks of pink flamingos. This 2 Days Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater Safari from Zanzibar is an amazing safari that starts and ends in Zanzibar Island. You can however customize this safari to fit your preference
Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and drive to Lake Manyara national park
You will be met by your guide at the airport, who will welcome you and brief you about your safari. After briefing, you will continue your drive to Lake Manyara national park with a stop in Mto wa Mbu to see the local crafts. You will continue to your lodge for lunch after your visit to Mto wa Mbu.
You will engage in an afternoon game drive after lunch at your lodge in Lake Manyara national park. You will also enjoy views of the rift valley escarpment and also see various wildlife species such as the tree climbing lions, elephants, buffalos, antelopes, zebras and many others. You will have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater, Crater drive, and drive to Arusha
After having breakfast at your lodge, you will be driven to the famous Ngorongoro crater where you will visit the world’s largest in-active caldera which has beautiful views and is home to a variety of wildlife species such as cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, leopards, lions, buffalos, kudu and many others. After descending about 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater, you will also enjoy seeing flamingos in the Ngorongoro crater as you enjoy a game drive and take photos.
You will be driven back to Arusha where you will be dropped at the airport from where you shall catch a flight back to Zanzibar, which will mark the end of your safari.
